The New York Film Festival: application forms will be available online late May & the deadline for submissions is early July.
New Directors/New Films: application forms will be available online early November & the deadline for submissions is early January.
Scanners: New York Video Festival: application forms will be available online late January & the deadline for submissions is early March.
The deadline is the date we need to have RECEIVED your entry. The exact deadline date for each festival appears on its application. Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to download a festival's application form.
For The New York Film Festival you may submit your work on 35mm, HD Cam, Digibeta, VHS or DVD. For New Directors/New Films you may submit your film in 16mm, 35mm, HD Cam, Digibeta, VHS of DVD (NTSC, PAL, all-regions DVD).For Scanners: New York Video Festival you may submit your film in VHS (NTSC or PAL), any region of DVD, HD Cam, digidbeta and beta.

before the submission deadline. Our programming department will arrange with you a day to screen your print. You will leave the print with them for at least one week. Once the film is viewed, you can pick up the print or have the festival use your FedEx, UPS, or DHL number for the return shipping. We do NOT pay for the shipping costs during this pre-selection process.
Please mail your application along with a copy of your film. If you have a press kit please include it. Do NOT send posters or other oversize press material. Due to the number of entries we receive for each festival, we are not able to return preview tapes or DVDs or publicity materials.
If you wish to be notified of the receipt of your submission, please include a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope with your entry. We will send the envelope back when you submission arrives.
Alternatively, you can send your entry using a mail service with tracking capability such as UPS, FedEx, or registered mail.

You may drop off your entry in person at the security desk in our lobby. Please put “Film Society of Lincoln Center” on the package The security desk is open 24 hours a day. It is located in the lobby of the Rose Building, 165 West 65th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam on the plaza level.
