Welcome to the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s new website: filmlinc.org!

We’ve been hard at work designing a website that is better looking and easier to use. We listened to feedback from you—our members, patrons, and moviegoers—to provide more and better ways to find out what’s playing now and what’s coming up at the Film Society.

Our new schedule, featured prominently on the homepage, breaks out New Releases, cinematheque programming (festivals, retrospectives, and series), and special events to make it easier to tell what events are playing where and when. The new Now Playing section gives more information on the films and series playing in the coming days, while the Calendar gives you a monthly view at a glance so you can plan ahead. We’ve also introduced dedicated schedules to all series and festival pages so you can plan around the ones that are most important to you.

We’re thrilled to note that our new website is mobile responsive, which makes it easier to view on your iPhone, Android, or tablet. Just in time, too, as we recently enabled mobile ticketing so you can buy tickets on the go.

Because movies are visual, larger images have been incorporated onto film and series pages to bring you one step closer to the big screen. Film trailers are also accessible in more places around the site for easier browsing. And since so much of our content has gone multimedia, we updated our FilmLinc Daily blog to better feature videos of talks and Q&As from our YouTube channel, our weekly podcast The Close-Up, and photos from our events and appearances. All this will let you experience any events you may have missed here at the Film Society, and get you excited for ones to come.

You may have noticed that our new website comes with a new URL. Why switch to .org? Because we felt it was important to highlight that the Film Society is a nonprofit film organization that relies on the support of membership, grants, and donations to make our programming possible. For those of you who are members, we thank you for your continued support of what we do and your contribution to keeping film alive. For those of you who aren’t, we encourage to take a moment to check out our membership program to see what it has to offer. If you love film, we’re pretty sure you’ll like what you find.

We hope you enjoy the new and improved filmlinc.org! Have a look around and, if you notice anything amiss, shoot us an email at [email protected].
