On January 11, the 26th edition of the New York Jewish Film Festival kicked off its unique and eventful slate. With an eclectic group of films, exclusive Q&As, and even a hummus party, there was certainly something for everyone!

The Opening Night selection was Moon in the 12th House, followed by a Q&A with director Dorit Hakim and actress Yuval Scharf. Other highlights from the past week include packed screenings of Mr. GagaThe Patriarch’s Room, Hummus! The MovieCenterpiece selection Peshmerga, the World Premiere of Amos Gitai’s Shalom Rabin, and a tribute to Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder with a screening of Mel Brooks’s The Producers, followed by a Q&A with screenwriter Walter Bernstein and Zero Mostel’s son, Josh Mostel.
