Last Sunday, we presented a 25th Anniversary screening of Disney’s animated masterpiece Beauty and the Beast, returning to Lincoln Center after premiering at the 29th NYFF in 1991, two months before its theatrical release.

Highlights of the event included a star-studded red carpet, a discussion panel featuring the original voice cast, a screening of the beautifully restored animated feature, and a very special live, post-screening performance of the Oscar-winning song “Beauty and the Beast” by Angela Lansbury and Alan Menken.

Additionally, last week Film Society hosted director Steven Cantor along with Ukrainian dancer Sergei Polunin for a Q&A following a screening of their film, Dancercurrently showing at the Howard Gilman Theater.

Check out the photos from these events, and stay tuned for the NYFF—starting next week!
