A wise, funny and surprisingly moving portrait of a man on a journey to reconnect with his estranged wife (Foster) and son (Anton Yelchin), The Beaver features Mel Gibson in an astonishing performance as Walter Black, a depressed toy executive who finds a therapeutic hand puppet.
