Rarefied Hungarian master Béla Tarr discussed his self-declared final film, The Turin Horse, at a free NYFF Forum last month in the Furman Gallery before attending its sold-out screening down the street at Alice Tully Hall. Film Society Program Director Richard Peña moderated the discussion, in which Tarr explained why he's giving up filmmaking. It was his first appearance at NYFF in 17 years.
