At a free NYFF Live talk in the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center Amphitheater during the 53rd New York Film Festival, director László Nemes and actor/poet Géza Röhrig discussed their film Son of Saul with Film Comment Senior Editor Nicolas Rapold. The festival favorite, which opens on December 18, provides a harrowing depiction of Auschwitz during World War II from the perspective of a Jewish man tasked with aiding the smooth operation in the death camp.
