Teacher Training Institutes
Taking place at Film at Lincoln Center’s Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center, the Film in Education Teacher Training Institute supports classroom teachers to build curriculums that use the viewing and making of short films as a tool for teaching literacy concepts, vocabulary, and story composition. Each teacher learns to make a short film and leaves the program with a hands-on STEAM unit that cultivates children’s 21st-century skills and meets national and state Learning Standards in Media and English Language Arts. Each Institute is tailor-made to fit the needs and goals of each school community.
