Free Talk: Brian De Palma, Noah Baumbach & Jake Paltrow (De Palma)
The Film Society’s annual free Summer Talks series kicks off with Brian De Palma, Noah Baumbach, and Jake Paltrow in person to discuss their new documentary and NYFF53 official selection, De Palma. Directed by Baumbach (The Squid and the Whale, While We’re Young) and Paltrow (The Good Night, Young Ones), the film is a lively portrait chronicling the career of visionary and uncompromising director Brian De Palma, the mastermind behind Carrie, Dressed to Kill, Blow Out, and Carlito’s Way. In anticipation of the doc’s June 10 release, the trio will sit down to talk about De Palma’s illustrious career, their approach to filmmaking, and the movie business in general.
