Free Talks: Don Cheadle (Miles Ahead)
Oscar-nominated actor Don Cheadle makes his first big-screen foray as director with Miles Ahead, opening in theaters on April 1. This portrait of Miles Davis set during his crazy days in the late ’70s had its World Premiere as the Closing Night selection of last year’s New York Film Festival and stars Cheadle in the title role, as well as Emayatzy Corinealdi, Ewan McGregor, Keith Stanfield, and Michael Stuhlbarg. Cheadle will sit down to talk about what drew him to the renowned jazz trumpeter/bandleader/composer and the film’s long road to the big screen.
