Free Talks: Joe Berlinger & Tony Robbins (Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru)
Peabody and Emmy Award–winning filmmaker Joe Berlinger has been a leading voice in nonfiction film and television for more than two decades. His films include the landmark documentaries Brother’s Keeper and the Paradise Lost trilogy, which helped bring about the release of the wrongfully convicted “West Memphis Three.” His latest documentary, Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru, follows the internationally renowned life and business strategist of the title. This vérité film goes behind the scenes of his mega-event seminar “Date With Destiny,” shining a light on its inner workings, the zealous participants, and the man himself, who has millions of adherents worldwide.
Berlinger will appear in person to talk about his latest film, which opens in July, as well as his long career behind the camera and his collaborations with the late Bruce Sinofsky. Tony Robbins will also join Berlinger to talk about I Am Not Your Guru and why he felt that now was the right time to do a film.
