It’s the late Fifties in the provincial capital of Logroño. Aspiring teenage poet Fabianitio watches with awe the arrangements for the funeral of his grandfather, an ex-civil servant and bullfighting enthusiast who, just before he died, spent his life savings on a television. But the funeral will bring to a head a number of tensions boiling just below the surface, as Fabianito discovers the secret world of adulthood. A delicious new comedy that bears witness to the lasting influence of Luis Berlanga on contemporary Spanish film.
