A digitally restored classic starring the great Zbigniew Cybulski!

The “Polish James Dean” Zbigniew Cybulski shines as the charming leader of a traveling acting troupe who catches the eye of a fetching Frenchwoman. Jacek (Cybulski) falls for Marguerite (Teresa Tuszynska), the daughter of a diplomat, yet his bohemian vision of love and life may not make a future together an easy proposition. Morgenstern’s warm portrait of 1950s youth features the creatively staged performances of well-known theater groups Bim Bom and Co To. Scored by Krzysztof Komeda and featuring an appearance by theater vet Roman Polanski.
