“If you like the Hardys—and who doesn’t?—then this one is your dish”
The New York Times

Andy comes of age in an episode that was originally classified by the National Legion of Decency as “unobjectionable for adults.” Tame today, the film won its “warning” due to a maturity of themes: should its hero choose a New York job over college, and “fun” with a divorced secretary over fidelity to his someday-wife?

Judy’s 1941 “Betsy Booth” is a nice acting contrast to her earlier depictions of the character. As usual, she’s the unwitting Andy’s savior in several dilemmas. With Patricia Dane, Ray McDonald, and Ann Rutherford.
