In person: director Maria Sødahl.

A coming-of-age story for adults unfolds in the sunny climes of Trinidad in Maria Sødahl’s Seventies-set feature debut. When Sonia and her two children move to join her engineer husband, the verdant expat paradise (eye-popping, along with the snazzy outfits) turns out to be fertile ground for infidelity. The radiant Line Verndal turns in a moving performance as Sonia, who must feel out the boundaries of trust even as she feels out of place in her new home.
