Membership Benefits

One of the biggest reasons for joining as a Member of Film at Lincoln Center is for access to the lowest price on movie tickets. Member priced tickets are always at least $5 off every film and special event when compared to the general public price. Another major reason for becoming a Film at Lincoln Center member is early access to seats at the prestigious New York Film Festival (available to Contributor level members and above), where screenings can often sell out. In fact, members receive early ticket access to all film festivals hosted here, year-round. Finally, Film at Lincoln Center is a nonprofit, meaning your membership support acts as a charitable contribution. However, there are many other benefits to becoming a member! Learn more about the different levels of membership and benefits and choose the one that’s right for you.
Yes! Members receive complimentary tickets to eligible Film at Lincoln Center screenings at the Contributor, Friend, Angel, and New Wave levels. Along with tickets, members at this level and above also receive complimentary concessions at all Film at Lincoln Center theaters. Members also receive special invitations to attend selected screenings for free year-round.
Members receive a punch card to redeem complimentary tickets in person at the box office.  Patrons should contact the Patrons Desk directly to redeem their complimentary tickets ([email protected], 212.875.5668). Hours and contact information for both can be found on the back of your membership/patron card. Box office staff can also assist if the Membership or Patrons desks are not available.
Visit the Member Corner for an updated list or visit Films & Series and click on the Tickets tab of the film or series you are interested in. Eligible films will include the note "Complimentary tickets for FLC Members and Patrons are eligible for standard-priced screenings and events in this series."
Tickets for festivals and special events may vary, but first run prices are generally as follows:
  • $12 Members
  • $14 Students, Seniors, and Persons with Disabilities
  • $17 General Public
A portion of your membership is tax-deductible. The tax-deduction amount is listed with each member level on the Member, New Wave, or Patrons page, as well as on the acknowledgement letter that was provided with your card.

Membership Cards

Yes, you have full access to all of your Member benefits even if you don’t have a card. Log in to your account on our website to order tickets online at the member rate. The box office, Patron Desk, and Membership Desks can also help retrieve your Member ID number to use when you visit us in person. It typically takes 7-10 days for members and patrons to receive their membership materials after joining or renewing. If you haven’t received a card within two weeks of your order, or need a replacement, email [email protected] with the subject “Missing Membership Card”.
  • Access the digital card email from your smartphone.
  • Click the "Download" button.
  • Click "Add to Wallet" and "Add".
  • The card will automatically go to your iPhone’s Apple Wallet. It can be accessed in Wallet at any time.
  • Download Wallet Passes from Google Play.
  • Access the digital card email from your smartphone and click “Download” in the membership email.
  • The card will automatically go to your Wallet Passes app, where it can be accessed at any time.
  • If you elect not to use the digital card email, you can simply continue to use your printed membership card when visiting the box office. Please email [email protected] in order to let us know about your future preferences.
If you’re unable to download or add your digital card to your mobile device, please email [email protected] with as much information about the problem as possible and they will respond directly.
You can find a list of benefits associated with your specific membership level on the back of the digital card by clicking the small “i” in the lower right corner (Android), or three dots in the upper right-hand corner (iPhone), when the card is open in your digital wallet. Membership benefits can also be found on the FLC website. If you have additional questions about your benefits, please contact [email protected] or 212.875.5620.
Not at this time. The ticket and concession vouchers that accompany Contributor, Friend, Angel and New Wave levels can only be redeemed by providing the separate, physical, punch card in person at the box office or concession stand. Patrons can redeem their vouchers via advance reservations by emailing [email protected].
If you have two members under your household, you should have received two emails, one with each card. You can forward the email you've received under the second name directly to the recipient, or follow the instructions below:
    1. Navigate to the back of the card with the second cardholder's name by clicking the small "i" in the lower right corner (Android) or three dots in the upper right corner (iPhone).
    2. Use the “Share Pass” button to send the card to your secondary member via email or text.
    3. They will then be able to add the card with their name directly to their own digital wallet.
    4. You can remove their card from your own digital wallet by going to clicking the small “i” or three dots in the upper right corner and clicking “Remove Pass”.
If you have an iPhone, the card will automatically download to Apple Wallet. Check the app for your new card (scroll through any cards that are already there—it may be hiding!). If you have an Android, you’ll need to download Wallet Passes from the Play Store prior to downloading the card.

    Technical Assistance

Please start with the following steps:
    • Check your email settings to make sure that the “filmlinc.org” domain is not blocked by your email server, and check your "blocked recipients" list.  If any of our email addresses are in this list, please remove them from your spam/blocked lists.
    • Check your spam folder. If you do see any of our emails in your spam folder, mark them as "not spam," which will move the message to your inbox. Marking the message as not spam tells the server that a mistake has been made and that you should be receiving these emails in the future.
    • Also, please sign up specifically for the newsletters you want to receive on the Film at Lincoln Center website here. This will ensure we are using your current email address.
    • If you have tried all of these steps and are still having an issue, please contact [email protected].
If you have previously purchased tickets, received our newsletter, are a current Member or Patron, you  have an online account! Please log in using the email address that you use to receive email communications from Film at Lincoln Center. If you need to reset your password, please select the “Forgot Your Password?” link. If it’s still not working, email [email protected] or call 212.875.5620 and we can manually reset your account.
If you’re having trouble logging in after correctly entering your email and password, select the “Forgot Your Password?” link to reset your password. If it’s still not working, email [email protected] or call 212.875.5620 and we can manually reset your account.
Please make sure that you are logged in to your account.
