Krzysztof Kieslowski’s Photographs of the City of Lodz
April 5 – 23

Kieslowski studied filmmaking at the State School of Film, Television, and Theater in Lodz.. The exhibition presents the photographs Kieslowski took as an exercise during the academic year 1965/1966 when he was working on his diploma film “From the City of Lodz.”

All photographs come from the private archive of the late director's wife, Maria Kieslowska. The exhibition was commissioned by the Department of Promotion, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, and curated by the Museum of Cinematography in Lodz




This exhibit is being held in conjunction with the presentation of The Complete Kieslowski retrospective at the Walter Reade Theatre from April 5 - 23. For a listing of films and screening schedule click here.
