Get a shot of authentic, indie filmmaking before you tune into the Academy Awards…
Steve Buscemi (Living in Oblivion, Reservoir Dogs, Fargo, “The Sopranos”) has built an acting career out of portraying some of the most distinctive characters in recent cinema. With Trees Lounge and Animal Factory, he also proved himself to be a first-rate director. In Lonesome Jim, his latest directorial outing, he creates a moving portrait of working-class characters filled with the comedy and rich details of everyday life.
Jim (Casey Affleck) begrudgingly returns from New York to his rural Indiana home. As he copes with his family obligations, he finds hope in a new relationship with a local nurse (Liv Tyler) and her young son.
Also starring Kevin Corrigan, Seymour Cassel, and Mary Kay Place.
Steve Buscemi and Kevin Corrigan will take questions after the screening. Pending their schedules, other cast members will also attend.
The post-film reception will have live jazz by the Haas Vaz Duo. Drinks and raffle prizes will be provided by Stella Artois® and Dewars.
Please call 212-875-5630 with any questions about joining the YFF membership program or purchasing tickets to this event.
