As we ring in the New Year, we asked the Film at Lincoln Center community, via Instagram and Twitter, for their most-anticipated films of 2021. Among your picks, there’s much excitement for new films by Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Mia Hansen-Løve, Paul Thomas Anderson, Jane Campion, Ruben Östlund, Paul Verhoeven, Wes Anderson, and more.

It also came as no surprise that some of the most mentioned films were blockbusters, like Denis Villeneuve’s Dune and Cary Joji Fukunaga’s No Time to Die, whose release dates continue to get pushed back due to the pandemic. Many people are looking forward to the wider releases of ChloĂŠ Zhao’s Nomadland and Lee Isaac Chung’s Minari, both of which had limited runs in Film at Lincoln Center’s Virtual Cinema last year. Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation!
