House of Pleasures
Bertrand Bonello's House of Pleasures (2011)

The Film Society of Lincoln Center is celebrating French director Bertrand Bonello with a full retrospective, I Put a Spell on You: The Films of Bertrand Bonello, which starts today and runs through May 4. Bonello’s latest, Saint Laurent, opens here at the Film Society on May 8.

The cinema of Bertrand Bonello pushes viewers into new and surprising territory, from a tragic story of an aging filmmaker (The Pornographer, 2001) to an unflinching portrait of a legendary designer (Saint Laurent, 2014). The Film Society is proud to present this consistently daring body of work with Bonello in person for introductions and Q&As throughout the series. We will also play host to a selection from Bertrand Bonello, RĂ©sonances, his recent exhibition at the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

Watch trailers for seven of the films in the retrospective below. A few do not have English subtitles, but Bonello's seductive cinema needs little translation.
