This weekend Film Society invites the young and old alike to join us in the Amphitheater of the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center for the kick-off of our brand new program of Family Screenings! This fun and heartwarming matinee series will spotlight the works of Roald Dahl. Tickets are only $6 and we don’t discriminate between the young and young-at-heart, so that price is for everyone!

On Saturday at 4:00pm come see Henry Selick’s adaptation of the classic Dahl story James and the Giant Peach (1996), about a young orphan who finds family in the inhabitants of a colossal piece of fruit. Then on Sunday at 4:00pm get in the Halloween spirit with another Dahl treasure, Nicolas Roeg’s inimitable The Witches (1990) starring Anjelica Huston. Just the right amount of scary, this screening is recommended for kids ages 9 and up.
