Classic films stand the test of time, and there's nothing more exciting than introducing your favorite films to new generations. With the New York Film Festival a little over a week away, take advantage now of special $10 children's prices for four masterpieces that were made to be seen on the big screen.

Ben-Hur kicks off our Masterworks program on the morning of October 1 at Alice Tully Hall. It’ll be a true spectacle in its original widescreen format with a stunning 8k digital restoration completed by Warner Home Video after years of meticulous work for its Blu-Ray debut in honor of the film’s 50th anniversary.

On the same day is the 10th Anniversary screening of Spirited Away at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center (with a repeat screening on October 14). The much-loved Oscar-winning film is widely regarded as legendary animator Hayao Miyazaki’s masterpiece, and it’s screening in conjunction with the 25th Anniversary of his third feature, Castle in the Sky on the morning of October 8.

Finally, on October 10 we are thrilled to present a screening of a new restoration of the original silent cut of Charlie Chaplin’s The Gold Rush, which was his personal favorite among his films. The screening features a live musical accompaniment performed by members of the New York Philharmonic and a new score restoration by Timothy Brock—his 9th film commissioned by the Chaplin Estate—who will also conduct.

Tickets are still available for NYFF family-friendly screenings and children are encouraged! Buy your tickets now at the Ticket Info page.
