“Velvet Bullets and Steel Kisses: Celebrating the Nikkatsu Centennial
Japan's Nikkatsu Corporation has enjoyed a rich history of film production and distribution since 1912. As it approaches its 100th anniversary, Nikkatsu’s motto “We Make Fun Films” remains as true today as it was in its golden era. We particularly recommend Rusty Knife (pictured, Howard Gilman Theater, 8:15pm), a harbor-set noir thriller from Toshio Masuda. Today's other offerings include Take Aim at the Police Van (Howard Gilman Theater, 5:00pm, RUSH TICKETS AVAILABLE!*) and Intimidation
