The first week of the 55th New York Film Festival featured premieres, sold-out-screenings, and more. Director Luca Guadagnino and stars Timothée Chalamet, Armie Hammer, and Michael Stuhlbarg presented Call Me by Your Name and were met with a standing ovation; they also participated in an extensive NYFF Live discussion.

Director Jennifer Lebeau presented the world premiere of her Bob Dylan documentary Trouble No More, along with Michael Shannon, who appears in the film. Trouble No More features truly electrifying video footage, much of it thought to have been lost for years and all newly restored.

Director Tony Zierra and producer Elizabeth Yoffe brought to the festival Filmworker, a documentary profile of Stanley Kubrick’s loyal right-hand man, Leon Vitali, who joined them and received a standing ovation following the screening.
