The 25th edition of Rendez-Vous with French Cinema kicked off last week with the New York premiere of Hirokazu Kore-eda’s tender new drama The Truth starring Catherine Deneuve, Juliette Binoche, and Ethan Hawke. To celebrate the opening, Hawke joined a sold-out out crowd, who were also greeted with a video introduction by Binoche. Hawke also participated in a special conversation on his career and international cinema, which will be coming soon to our podcast and YouTube channel.
Rendez-Vous with French Cinema continues through this Sunday and The Truth opens at Film at Lincoln Center on March 20.
