As part of the 26th edition of Rendez-Vous with French Cinema in New York, UniFrance and Film at Lincoln Center are proud to present the second annual Rendez-Vous Audience Award, offering virtual moviegoers the chance to vote for their favorite film from the festival.

Hundreds of this year’s festival attendees from across the U.S. cast their vote via digital ballot, and we are pleased to announce that the 2021 Audience Award winner is Sébastien Lifshitz’s Little Girl (Petite fille). This remarkable and moving film, which was the first documentary ever to serve as the Opening Night selection, follows a young girl’s experience with gender dysphoria. Music Box Films will be releasing the film theatrically later this year.

Sarah Suco’s mesmerizing debut feature The Dazzled (Les éblouis) took home the inaugural Rendez-Vous Audience Award in 2020.
