The International Rome Film Festival unveiled several of its competition films joining its lineup. Spike Jonze's Her, which will close the upcoming New York Film Festival will screen in the event's 8th edition which opens November 8.

The romantic comedy starring Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams and Scarlett Johansson, about a man who falls for a computer operating system, will be joined by Scott Cooper's Out of the Furnace and Jean-Marc Vallee's Dallas Buyers Club as well as Isabel Coixet's Another Me, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Starring Christian Bale, Casey Affleck and Zoe Saldana, Out of the Furnace centers on Russell, who takes matters into his own hands when his younger brother disappears and law enforcement officials fail to follow through. Coixet's mystery-thriller Another Me stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Sophie Turner about a beautiful young girl who is haunted by a secret past. The film was originally titled Panda Eyes and had been rumored to be destined for Cannes. This will likely be its world premiere.

Toronto International Film Festival premiere Dallas Buyers Club by Jean-Marc Vallée stars Matthew McConaughey as Texas electrician Ron Woodroof who takes on the medical establishment and pharmaceutical companies after he is diagnosed as HIV-positive. The film also stars Jennifer Garner and Jared Leto.

The 8th International Rome Film Festival takes place November 8 – 17.
