The future of entertainment may very well be cooking in the studio space of the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center. For 36 hours the film center is playing host to game designers, filmmakers, programmers, and playwrights engage in a first of its kind event: StoryHack Beta. A little bit think tank, a little bit mad scientist laboratory, and yes even a little bit rock and roll, StoryHack is the brainchild of StoryCode and is presented in collaboration with the Film Society as part of its new immersive storytelling initiative,  Convergence.

A collaborative effort between groups of creative pros, the seven teams participating in this year’s event have been tasked with forging a story that is told across three different mediums (film, web, mobile phones, the sky really is the limit). This all comes together on Sunday, April 29 in the Film Society amphitheater for “Demo Day,” where a panel of judges and insiders from the transmedia community will see what the teams have cooked up.

You can watch live right here on the FilmLinc blog and follow the action via Twitter by checking out hashtag: #storyhack.
