Every year at NYFF, festival director Kent Jones sits down with world-renowned filmmakers for in-depth talks about the films that influence and inspire them. Denis’ science-fiction film High Life, starring Robert Pattinson and Juliette Binoche, was one of the most hotly discussed selections of the festival. Additionally, her film Let the Sunshine In, also starring Binoche, was number seven on the best-of-2018 Film Comment critics poll.
