The 2016 New York Film Festival featured an insightful HBO Directors Dialogue with director Paul Verhoeven. In it, he discussed his newest film, and NYFF54 Main Slate selection, Elle, along with his impressive, and often controversial, body of work produced in both Hollywood and the Netherlands. The talk was moderated by the Film Society’s Director of Programming, Dennis Lim.
This November, we’ll be hosting a complete Paul Verhoeven retrospective, which includes a special sneak-preview screening of Elle, starring the incomparable Isabelle Huppert. Total Verhoeven runs November 9-23 and will feature numerous Q&As with and introductions by Verhoeven.
