It was an evening of wonder at the 55th New York Film Festival as legendary cinematographers Vittorio Storaro and Ed Lachman sat down with NYFF Director Kent Jones for a master class. They discussed their latest films, Wonder Wheel and Wonderstruck, respectively, which both re-create distinct eras of New York City. The pair also explored their early cinematography influences, from Charlie Chaplin to Michelangelo Antonioni, and detailed their astonishing careers, which crossed paths more than forty years ago.

Wonderstruck is now in theaters and Wonder Wheel opens on December 1. To see more events from the 55th New York Film Festival, as well as Film Society events throughout the year, subscribe to our YouTube channel!
