Film at Lincoln Center is proud to join dozens of nonprofit cultural organizations nationwide, including several of our fellow Lincoln Center constituents, for Connecting for Culture: a daylong celebration of the arts that brings together community members and artists in meaningful connection and conversation at a time when it is needed most.

For more than 50 years, FLC has showcased and supported cinema’s most innovative and boundary-pushing cinematic voices—presenting their films at the New York Film Festival (NYFF), New Directors/New Films, and other series and festivals, and supporting their work through our various artist initiatives. On Thursday, May 21, we invite you to a special conversation with a few of the extraordinary artists that FLC has championed through these programs: Dustin Guy Defa (2016 Lincoln Center Emerging Artists Award), Eliza Hittman (2017 Lincoln Center Emerging Artists Award), Matías Piñeiro (2015 Lincoln Center Emerging Artists Award), Alice Rohrwacher (2016 NYFF Filmmaker-in-Residence) and Athina Rachel Tsangari (2015 NYFF Filmmaker-in-Residence). In connection with this event, our celebration of cinema will continue May 29 through June 7 with We Are One, a 10-day digital film festival in cooperation with more than 20 other international festivals to benefit COVID-19 relief efforts.

Thank you to our members, patrons, and donors for your generosity and support of Film at Lincoln Center during this challenging time. If cinema and the artists we support, such as those participating in Connecting for Culture, matter to you, we hope you’ll consider making a tax-deductible gift to the FLC Emergency Fund
