For the fifth year, New Wave (film lovers under 40) is partnering with the James Beard Foundation Greens (foodies under 40) for a can’t-miss evening of food and film. Guests will enjoy a special screening of the film Jeremiah Tower: The Last Magnificent, followed by a reception featuring bites from some of New York’s finest chefs, wines by Marques de Riscal, and beer.

After beginning his career at the renowned Chez Panisse in Berkeley in 1972, Jeremiah Tower launched the legendary Stars Restaurant in San Francisco, an overnight sensation that soon became one of America’s top-grossing U.S. restaurants. After disappearing from the scene for nearly two decades, Tower surprisingly resurfaced at New York City’s fabled but troubled Tavern on the Green, where he launched a journey of artistic and professional self-discovery.
