Q&A with Jeremy Frindel, Krishna Das, Lama Surya Das, David Nichtern and Sharon Salzberg!
Krishna Das talks openly about his journey from depressed Long Island kid to internationally renowned spiritual teacher and chant singer. His story, interspersed with interviews with Ram Dass, Rick Rubin, Sharon Salzberg, Daniel Goleman and others, reveals the narrative of his life including the drug abuse, finding, losing and re-finding his guru Neem Karoli Baba, fame, fatherhood and one crazy music video. The film also illustrates the profound effect his music has on others, a reflection of the effect his guru had on him. The tone and pace are well suited to the subject; the film is in itself a meditation.
Winner: Best Documentary, Maui Film Festival.
