The casting director and talent manager who later became a film producer and then a director is about to unveil his latest film, The Butler. The story of am African American man who served eight presidents as a butler in the White House from the 1950s through the 80s, stars Forest Whitaker in the title role and features a cast the includes Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey, Robin Williams, Melissa Leo, John Cusack, Lenny Kravitz, Jane Fonda and more.

At the New York Film Festival with his past two films, Precious and The Paperboy, Daniels is finding a new path with the summer release of his new movie. Always an outspoken and entertaining interview subject, Daniels will surely share stories from the set of his latest feature and offer candid insights on his eclectic career. The Butler will be released on August 16th.

This Summer Talk is free and open to the public. Complimentary tickets will be distributed at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center box office on a first-come, first-served basis starting one hour prior to the conversation.
