Gun Hill Road

Can a father's fierce love for his family overcome his street-hardened ideas about manhood and end the vicious cycle controlling his life? Writer/director Rashaad Ernesto Green’s first feature film is an intricate portrait of a family at a crossroads. Starring Esai Morales, Judy Reyes and newcomer Harmony Santana, this provocative drama unfolds with sensitivity, gentle humor, and deep understanding. Selected by the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, Gun Hill Road is slated to open theatrically this summer. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director and cast, and then a reception in the Furman Gallery.
