Film at Lincoln Center announces the participants for the Artist Academy, an immersive four-day program for filmmakers early in their careers, and the Critics Academy, a workshop for aspiring film writers and a venture of Film Comment magazine, at the 57th New York Film Festival

Film at Lincoln Center and Film Comment magazine announce a call for entries for the eighth Critics Academy, the annual workshop for aspiring film critics, taking place during the 57th New York Film Festival (September 27 – October 13).

Participants have been announced for our annual workshops, one for filmmakers early in their careers and the other for aspiring film critics.

The fifth annual workshop for aspiring film critics is a co-presentation of Film Comment magazine and IndieWire. The deadline to apply is August 1.

Now in its fifth year, this workshop for aspiring film critics offered during the festival (August 3-13) is produced in partnership with Indiewire and with support from Film Comment magazine and the Swiss Alliance of Film Journalists.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center, Film Comment magazine and Indiewire have announced the eight finalists for the fourth annual New York Film Festival Critics Academy, a workshop for aspiring film critics that takes place before and during the festival.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center, Film Comment magazine, and Indiewire are now accepting applications for the 2015 New York Film Festival Critics Academy, a workshop for aspiring New York–based film critics that takes place during the festival (September 25 – October 11).

Eight finalists have been selected to take part in the third annual New York Film Festival Critics Academy. The program nurtures aspiring film critics over the course of the festival who will cover the event for Film Comment and Indiewire.

The New York Film Festival Critics Academy is returning for the 52nd annual event, taking place September 26 – October 12. The application process for this year’s workshop begins today and the deadline is Friday, August 22.

From more than 120 applications, six finalists were selected by editors at Indiewire and Film Comment for this year’s program at the Swiss festival taking place in August.

Spearheaded by Indiewire and the Film Society in partnership with Film Comment, Critics Academy is a workshop for aspiring film critics that takes place during the Locarno Film Festival. August 6-16.
