The 22nd annual Rendez-Vous with French Cinema festival began last week, bringing a diverse selection of films and proving the vitality of contemporary French filmmaking. Opening night featured the North American premiere of Django and a Q&A with director Étienne Comar and the cast. Other inspiring films so far included 150 Milligrams, Frantz, Nocturama, From the Land of the Moon, and more. In addition to these, there were several panels that covered topical issues in filmmaking, such as international coproductions of films and how cinema can be used as a political tool. The final days of the festival will include a Live Talk with Agnès Varda this Friday, the U.S. Premiere of Closing Night selection The Odyssey, and more!

Rendez-Vous with French Cinema is co-presented with UniFrance.
