On this week’s two-part episode of our podcast, you’ll hear Adam Driver discuss his work in Paterson, Silence, and more, followed by a discussion with Denzel Washington and cast about their new film Fences, which opens in theaters this weekend.

Fences stars Denzel Washington as a former baseball player struggling to care for his family in 1950s Pittsburg. The film was also directed by Washington and is adapted from the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by August Wilson. Washington joined Viola Davis, Jovan Adepo, Stephen Henderson, and Constanza Romero Wilson to discuss the film at a recent preview screening here at the Film Society.

The 54th New York Film Festival included an intimate evening with Adam Driver, who stars in Jim Jarmusch’s forthcoming Paterson as well as Martin Scorsese’s Silence. He joined Kent Jones at a fundraising event during the festival to discuss his work in those two films and more.
