This panel, moderated by Cynthia Kane (Producer: The Dilemma of Desire, Us Kids) unites trailblazing film producers from France and the U.S. to examine how they are redefining the craft and business of filmmaking as leaders in today’s dynamic landscape. Producers Flore Biet (DJ Mehdi: Made in France), Muriel Meynard (Holy Cow), Alex Lo (Being Maria), and Gabriel Mayers (A Different Man) will discuss navigating unprecedented challenges in the film industry—from shifting distribution models to the rise of AI—while championing innovative storytelling. Taking place on International Women’s Day, the conversation is organized in collaboration with French in Motion and Gotham Film & Media Institute.
