A celebrated stage director stakes everything on what is meant to be his swan song, even as his marriage comes apart. He casts a complete unknown as his female lead, only for his ex, now a movie-star diva, to sweep in, seize the role, and bump the newcomer down to understudy. As opening night bears down, he settles on a drastic plan in the name of true art. Keane T.K. Wong makes his feature directorial debut, mentored by Derek Yee, with a gleefully irreverent satire of show-business vanity and dysfunctional love, dragging the Hollywood screwball comedy into present-day Hong Kong. Stephen Fung leads a powerhouse ensemble with Angela Yuen, Myolie Wu, and Chrissie Chau.
