The Cannes award-winning director of The Death of Mr. Lazarescu produced 20 two-minute trailers for the Transilvania International Film Festival starring Romanian icon Luminița Gheorghiu.

In 2013, director Cristi Puiu was given carte blanche in creating the visual campaign of the Transilvania International Film Festival. Teaming with actress Luminița Gheorghiu, who was the face of the 2013 festival, he delivered not one, but 20 intriguing clips. Watching them in sequence, they actually work like a short film which could be called A Woman's Journey, Brief Encounters or even… The Red Shoes. The beauty of this strangely elliptical story is that it is open to multiple interpretations.

James Gray’s Paper Tiger Will Open the 64th New York Film Festival
FLC announces James Gray’s Paper Tiger as the Opening Night selection of the 64th New York Film Festival, presented in partnership with Rolex. The film will make its North American premiere in a gala debut at Alice Tully Hall on Friday, September 25, with Gray and members of the cast and crew in attendance.
