In his second feature, director Prividera confronts icons of Argentine history with each other at the foot of their tombs in the Recoleta Cemetery of Buenos Aires, where friends and foes lie together side by side. This provocative “dialogue amongst the dead,” in which renowned cultural personalities read the texts of national heroes, disturbingly echoes the divisive discussions shaking Argentine politics today. The film's unusual staging highlights the crucial role of editing in both history and film. As it reconstructs Argentine history through the rigorously selected excerpts, it suggests a different reading of it. A First Run Features release.

Distribuido por First Run Features.
