Chuck Jones co-wrote this innovative cartoon feature about a country cat (voiced by Garland) who seeks adventure in Paris. Costars Robert Goulet, Red Buttons, Hermoine Gingold, Paul Frees, and Morey Amsterdam contribute to the fun, and the animation is frequently remarkable or stunning. “Paris Is a Lonely Town” and “Little Drops of Rain” highlight the eight new songs by Harold Arlen and E. Y. Harburg.
