Jane and Charlotte Forever
January 29 - February 7, 2016
Charlotte Gainsbourg delivers a soulful, sensitive performance as the strong-willed heroine of Charlotte Brontë’s classic novel in Franco Zeffirelli’s beautifully understated, broodingly romantic screen adaptation.
Period-film maestro Franco Zeffirelli captures the brooding, gothic atmosphere of Charlotte Brontë’s classic novel in this moody screen adaptation. Her performance sets the tone for a beautifully restrained, understated take on a beloved romance. The impressive supporting cast includes Fiona Shaw as Mrs. Reed, Joan Plowright as Mrs. Fairfax, and Anna Paquin as the young Jane.
