Set in Taipei’s notorious Wanhau district during the 1980s, actor-director Doze Niu’s stylish gangster epic is a coming-of-age tale marked by turf wars and challenged loyalties. As a new transfer student, Mosquito (Asian Awards winner Mark Chao Yu- Ting) finds gang membership a good way of securing a foothold. But as the years go by, the stakes get higher, and the gang rivalry gets bloodier, in a story of innocence threatened by changing times and shifting relationships.
