Four short films let us experience summertime romance in mid-winter. In First Days (dir. Ohad Regev, 2012, 15m), a couple struggling to connect finally do while working as extras on a movie set. A chatty dog talks his owner’s date out of spending the night in GentleDog (dir. David Shadi, 2012, 10m), and in Summer Vacation (dirs. Tal Granit & Sharon Maymon, 2012, 22m), a former boyfriend re-enters a man’s life but not at the right moment–he is now married to someone else. Sarah Adler delivers a compelling performance as the spontaneous Aya (dirs. Mihal Brezis & Oded Binun, 2012, 40m), who decides to chauffeur a visiting traveler waiting for someone else at the airport.
