No stranger to the New York Film Festival, Noah Baumbach has presented The Squid and the Whale (2005), Margot at the Wedding (2007), and Frances Ha (2012) here. Baumbach returns this year with the comedic drama The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected), starring Dustin Hoffman, Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, and Emma Thompson. The film harkens back to the themes of family vanities and warring attachments he has explored in previous movies.
