Sound + Vision Live: Tigue
An immersive musical experience like none other from young and thrilling percussion trio Tigue, whose music represents their affinity for both pop and the avant-garde.
Sound + Vision Live explores the connections between music and film through a series of intimate concerts featuring live music and original video work.
Hailing from Ohio but currently residing in Brooklyn, Tigue is a young and thrilling percussion trio, producing music that represents their affinity for both pop and the avant-garde. Their live shows articulate meticulous compositions with extreme energy, challenging conventional boundaries of genre and performance. With kaleidoscopes of rhythm and patterned drones, Tigue creates an immersive musical experience like none other.
For their Staring at Sound performance, Tigue will present a technically dazzling suite of original works for a wide variety of mostly percussion instruments. They will be joined by Alejandro T. Acierto, a multi-disciplinary artist working in music and film, who will present live-manipulated footage while Tigue performs. A wide-ranging sampling of his work can be found at his website.
