New York Premiere
In this insightful and emotionally intense love story, 33-year old travel writer Andrés returns to his native Chile after having lived in Berlin for 11 years. After meeting his old friends at a party he is forced to confront his past, his decision to leave and its implications. Andres drifts through the party (the only location of the film), as if in a fish tank, his surroundings alternately strange and familiar, as he ponders whether to escape or revisit his passion for a lost love. Winner of a Goya (Spanish Oscar) Award for Best Hispanic American Film in 2011 and Chile's candidate for the Oscar for Best Foreign Film. From the director of En la cama (In Bed; New Directors/New Films 2006) and Sabado (Saturday; Latinbeat 2003).
